Homemade Hand Sanitizer

Making your own Homemade Hand Sanitizer is a simple, because it is an effective way to ensure you know exactly what ingredients are going on your skin. Hand sanitizers are now a staple for maintaining cleanliness and fighting germs. However, many store-bought versions are filled with harsh chemicals, artificial fragrances, and preservatives. Crafting your own sanitizer allows you to control what you use, ensuring that only safe and natural ingredients are included.

Homemade Hand Sanitizer made with harsh alcohol can really destroy your hands and make them dry. But, my addition for the Thieves Essential Oils doesn’t contain any harmful chemicals or synthetic fragrance, like many of the hand sanitizers you find today. I will share my own version made from pure essential oils and fresh natural ingredients that are proven effective and pleasantly aromatic.

Feel free to use any mixture to your liking. Most importantly, the Thieves Essential Oils blend is known for its anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, clarifying, and immune-boosting components. I consider this to be the perfect sanitizer blend, because it also softens my hands and smells great. I keep a small bottle in my purse at all times. You never know when you may need to use it.

Aloe Vera Plant

Everyone around the world experienced the Coronavirus Pandemic, making sanitizers and ingredients impossible to find. It seems that we look back on nature to provide for us, we learn to find a way. Here is an image of the Aloe plant that I purchased for $10 at a local garden shop. It takes longer to harvest the Aloe Vera, but this is where it all began. Hard work and imagination is the key.

How Thieves Oil Got Its Name

In 1413, the Black Death or Bubonic Plague swept through France. Four Thieves were imprisoned from stealing from the dead or dying wealthy people. Many, of whom infected with the Plague.
They were to be burned alive as a penalty for their crimes, however the judge wanted to know how the thieves remained alive. Furthermore, he promised not to burn them alive if they would tell him their secret.
The thieves were spice and perfume traders that couldn’t find work because of the plague. They concocted an essential oil blend to keep them from catching the Black Death. They wore it on their hands, feet, temples, ears, and inside their masks on a cloth.
Folklore says that the judge kept his word and didn’t burn them alive. Instead, the thieves were hanged, so the judge actually kept his word by not burned alive.
