The Backyard Football Game Chair Story
Back in the day when kids actually wanted to go out and play, the Silva brothers did just that. And like most kids, they used their imagination to create their own fun and games. At the age of 9 and 12, they started playing this game by using old garbage cans. One Thanksgiving day, after all their friends left to go visit family, they got bored and wondered how they could play football with only 2 people. They started throwing a football into garbage cans, over and over trying to get the football in the can. This became the “QB Thanksgiving Classic” and a tradition over the years.
Now in their mid 40’s, instead of doing dishes after Thanksgiving dinner, they still play the traditional game. One year they were playing and a neighbor joins in and they played for 3 hours! Then, after that game they looked at each other and the light bulb lit up. They created the idea of using a chair with dual purpose functionality. Genius! QB54 was born. Surprisingly, this game can be used as a chair with only a couple quick adjustments. Quick & easy, even a child is shown doing this in one of their videos.
