Cotton Candy Champagne or Sparkling Wine | Cocktail Recipes

Here is one of my special drinks that I will be serving at my next W.O.W., Women Of Wine events. This is so S I M P L E and elegant and sure to impress the girls enough to share at their next event. Following is the quick and easy recipe for the Cotton Candy Champagne or Sparkling Wine.

Ingredients:

  • One bottle of your favorite champagne. Since the cotton candy is already sweet, you may want to use a semi-sweet champagne.
  • 1 Pre-packaged bag or tub of cotton candy. You can find many colors.
  • Champagne or wine glasses, enough to accommodate your guests.
  • Optional colored straws to coordinate with your theme.

Directions:

  • Chill your champagne or sparkling in advance, then pour into each glass about 3/4 full.
  • Pinch off a small portion of cotton candy and drop into the champagne. It will dissolve instantly and leave the color of the cotton candy concentrated at the bottom of the glass.
  • Pull off a larger portion of cotton candy and gently form into a ball. The warmth of your hands with start to melt the cotton candy, so do this quickly. Insert your straw first, then place the cotton candy ball on top of the rim of each glass. Try not to touch too much liquid. This will melt eventually.
  • Serve and present to your guests and enjoy the flavor!
